This page features ways to support the community. If you would like to submit a suggestion of a local nonprofit that accepts in-kind donations and/or needs volunteer support, please contact us.
RVA Community Fridges (closest fridge is located at 2614 W. Cary St.): fridge guidelines and list of permitted items available here.
Immanuel Baptist Church (3601 Monument Ave.): accepts nonperishable food and gently used clothing during normal business hours (Mon-Fri, 8AM-4PM).
Richmond’s First Baptist Church (2709 Monument Ave.): accepts food items, clothing, toiletries, and cleaning supplies during normal business hours (Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM, Sat 9AM-12PM, Sun 8AM-2PM); list of needed items available here.
Tabernacle Baptist Church (1925 Grove Ave.): accepts nonperishable food, toiletries, and other essentials such as diapers, feminine products, and dish soap. Contact the church (april@tbcrichmond.org) to coordinate a drop-off on Wednesdays or Fridays.
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church (520 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd.): accepts nonperishable food items during normal business hours (Tues-Thurs, 11AM-4PM).
Little Hands Virginia (7101 Forest Hill Ave., Suite L): accepts new and some gently used baby and toddler items. More details about how and when to drop off donations are available here.
