RECENT CRIME ACTIVITY - Updated: August 18
Here is a list of recent criminal activity in the Museum District. Additionally, there were several other thefts throughout the Fan and its immediate surroundings over the weekend as detailed below:
THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE - 8/13/10 - 5:00 a.m. – 5:25 a.m.
3029 Hanover Ave. An unknown male entered the unlocked vehicle and stole cash and cigarettes.
THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE - 8/12/10 -- 8/13/10 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 a.m.
2810 Monument Ave. An unknown person broke into the vehicle and stole a jar of loose change left in plain view.
BURGLARY - 8/7/10 -- 8/13/10 8:00 a.m. – 9:13 p.m.
3009 Patterson Ave. An unknown person(s) broke into the residence and stole a TV.
BURGLARY - 8/12/10 -- 8/15/10 11:30 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
10 S. Boulevard
An unknown person entered the residence and stole several items.
IN THE FAN:
THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE - 8/12/10 -- 8/13/10 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
1700 Hanover Ave. An unknown person broke into the vehicle and stole a GPS unit left in plain view.
THEFT FROM BUILDING - 8/11/10 -- 8/14/10 11:30 p.m. – 12:41 p.m.
1600 Monument Ave. An unknown person stole some items from the above location.
THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE (x2) - 8/13/10 -- 8/14/10 11:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.
200 block of Vine Street
An unknown person entered two locked vehicles and stole two GPS units.
SAFEGUARD YOURSELF AND YOUR PROPERTY
The following suggestions from the police department should help us all stay safer during the warm months:
- Do not leave windows or doors open
- Do not leave valuable items visible in your house or car
- Look around you as you enter and exit your car or home, especially at night
- If you see something suspicious or a crime is progress, call 911.
