Outgoing and Incoming MDA Board Members

The Museum District Association Board of Directors would like to thank the following board members who ended their term in 2012:

Eileen Lappington – For more than three years, Eileen has served the Museum District community through her contribution as first our board secretary, then The Columns Newsletter editor. With two young children, we know it was a large commitment for Eileen to give her spare time to our neighborhood and one of our most prized services – The Columns quarterly newsletter. THANK YOU Eileen! Don’t be a stranger!

Robert Traub – Robert joined our board in 2009 as the environmental chair. During his tenure, he made it his personal mission to keep Roseneath and other key common areas around the neighborhood free from pesky weeds. He also led six alley cleanups and got us started on the Roseneath median and Monument Avenue triangle beautification projects. We cannot thank Robert and his wife, Patricia, enough for their time and commitment. We hear he will be staying involved as he and his wife Patricia have agreed to open their home for the 2013 Museum District Mother’s Day House & Garden Tour!

Colleen Wallace – Over the last three years, Colleen has planned and organized dozens of MDA spon- sored events including multiple summer family picnics, three Annual Meetings, and several Spring Flings including this past one held at the VMFA. She has been busy these past three years even beyond the programs work she did for the MDA. Colleen was married in 2010 and welcomed her first son to the MDA family this past August. She and her husband Sean have been incredibly supportive of this community and we look forward to seeing the whole family at events this spring and summer.

Beth Ludden – Often seen jogging through the streets of the Museum District, Beth and her husband Pat quickly became involved with the neighborhood the moment they moved in a few years ago. She jumped into the lofty role of Mother’s Day House & Garden Tour chair and led the event to great success these past two years. We are sad to see Beth & Pat move from our neighborhood but know that she will stay involved as a member of the house tour commit- tee.

We are THRILLED to welcome two new members to our board.

Please welcome Kimberly Reiff who has joined as environmental chair and Bonnie Predd coming on as programs chair. Both of these roles are incredible important to our community and we are so thankful that these two neighbors have signed on. They have both already shown great commitment to our neighborhood and will surely be valuable addition to our MDA board. Stay tuned for more information about Kimberly and Bonnie in The Columns.
