Alleyway Cleanup
The alleyway cleanup takes place twice a year, in the fall and spring. The event includes a number of volunteers who meet and proceed to clean and remove debris from the Museum District’s 100+ alleyways and throughways.
Spring Fling
The Spring Fling occurs annually each May and provides friends and neighbors of the Museum District the opportunity to come together, meet members of the MDA’s Board of Directors, as well as other members. This event also acts as a membership drive; where new members are recruited and existing members have the option of renewing.
Spring Picnic
The annual spring picnic takes place on the last day of school for public school children and provides friends and neighbors the opportunity to meet and socialize. The event takes place in the park directly across the street from Albert Hill Middle School.
National Night Out
This nationally-celebrated event occurs the first Tuesday of August and was founded in an effort to generate support for, and participation in local anti-crime efforts; heighten crime and drug-prevention awareness; and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. The event generally occurs in the 3400-block of West Franklin Street with a picnic-style event, including entertainment and visits from local fire and police personnel.
